Hear what our students have to say...

“My brother and I were lucky enough to be students of Joshua Zabatta during our junior high and high school years. Joshua taught us what it means to sing with our authentic voices. He helped us not only develop a strong singing technique but also showed us how to go beyond the notes to really communicate a message when we perform. As a result, it opened all sorts of opportunities for school productions and extracurriculars that might otherwise have not been options for us. Our musical auditions, performances, and school presentations were improved upon exponentially, but most importantly studying with Joshua gave us lifelong training and confidence moving forward.”

—Katherine & Alex Bush, St. Louis, Missouri

“After only three lessons with Joshua Zabatta, I feel much more free about my singing. His technique encourages me to sing out and trust my body to produce the sound. Joshua has a flair for demonstrating good practices and gives suggestions for ways to practice in front of a mirror to guard against bad habits.  Working with him is beneficial for any student wanting to get a great education and develop a solid technique.”

—Margaret Henderson, Matthews, NC

Owner, Instructor in Voice & Piano

Providing a Solid Education, Having a Blast Doing It.

As both a performing artist and teacher, nothing makes me happier than helping others cultivate the same joy and appreciation of music I’ve found.  I do this through performances, lectures and workshops, and I also share my passion and experience by offering private voice and piano lessons in-person and online.  In lessons, my students get a great education and the confidence they need to feel like pros.  I have a Work Hard-Play Hard mentality when it comes to teaching.  Students learn strong work ethic, dedication, presentation skills, and even more importantly, they also have a great time in their lessons.

My Background

I hold a bachelors degree in music from Black Hills State University and a Master of Music degree from Washington University in St. Louis.  As a performer, I've worked with touring performing arts companies, orchestras, opera companies, and other ensembles.  For more on my performance background, you can visit my other site:  www.joshuazabatta.com.    As a teacher, I've taught private voice and piano lessons in addition to directing musical ensembles for roughly 18 years.  While my foundation is more classical in nature, I have substantial experience teaching in a variety of styles: such as Rock, Pop, Gospel, Jazz, and Musical Theatre.  Achievements from this studio include: producing successful musical theatre auditions, having multiple students chosen for All-State Choir during consecutive years, giving students tools they need to be accepted into college music programs of their choice, and more.  If you want to discover what lessons with this studio can do for you, Call 406-853-2101 or reach out using the contact form below.
